MANILA - Even while he is seeking a seat at the Senate, former Biliran Rep. Glenn Chong said he does not trust lawmakers.

Asked if he is in favor of a constituent assembly to amend the Constitution, Chong said he disapproves since he does not trust lawmakers.

Chong also answered questions if he is in favor of federalism, the move to change the name of of the Philippines to Maharlika, the existence of the so-called "pork barrel" for lawmakers, as well as the abolition of the party-list system.

He also said that he is not keen on getting the endorsement of neither the Catholic Church nor President Rodrido Duterte, adding he wants to win on his own.
