MANILA - The Philippine National Police on Monday lauded an officer who was drenched with a cup of taho by a Chinese woman at the MRT-3.

PO1 William Cristobal barred the woman from bringing taho inside the MRT-Boni station due to the railway's no-liquid policy. But the woman, identified as 23-year-old fashion student Jiale Zhang, "suddenly threw" her drink at Cristobal, a police report said.
Cristobal, in a ceremony in Camp Crame, received a medal of commendation from PNP chief, Director General Oscar Albayalde.
