MANILA - A low pressure area (LPA) or brewing storm was spotted east of Surigao del Sur early Saturday, state weather bureau PAGASA said.
In its early morning advisory, PAGASA said the LPA was estimated 505 kilometers east of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur.
The trough of the low pressure area may bring light to moderate with at times heavy rains to Mindanao and eastern Visayas, PAGASA said.
Cagayan Valley Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, and Aurora may meanwhile experience cloudy skies with scattered rains due to the northeast monsoon.
Metro Manila, Ilocos region and parts of Central Luzon may experience isolated rain showers brought by the northeast monsoon.
