Comelec to hold mock elections for 2019 midterm polls

MANILA - The Commission on Elections (Comelec) on Wednesday announced that it would hold mock elections over the weekend, four months ahead of the midterm polls. 

In an advisory, the poll body said the mock elections would be held on January 19, 2019, Saturday, from 5 a.m. to 1 p.m. in at least 26 areas nationwide. 


Mock elections will be held in the following areas: 


  • Alaminos City, Pangasinan
  • Dagupan City, Pangasinan
  • Tuguegarao City
  • Tuguegarao City, Cagayan
  • Aparri, Cagayan
  • Quezon City (1st and 2nd districts)
  • Manila (5th district)
  • Pasig (2nd district)
  • Taguig
  • Pateros
  • Valenzuela (1st district)
  • Muntinlupa 


  • Cebu City (1st district)
  • Santader, Cebu
  • Albuquerque, Bohol
  • Cortes, Bohol


  • Dapitan City, Zamboanga del Norte
  • Sergio Osmeña Sr., Zamboanga del Norte
  • Digos City, Davao del Sur
  • Bansalan, Davao del Sur
  • General Santos City, South Cotabato
  • Surallah, South Cotabato
  • Jolo, Sulu
  • Tongkil, Sulu
  • Lamitan, Basilan
