'Performance, trust ratings ni Duterte, mataas pa rin'

Mataas pa rin ang performance at trust ratings ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte, batay sa survey ng Pulse Asia nitong Disyembre 2017.

Nakakuha ng 80 percent na approval rating si Duterte at 82 percent na trust rating.

Parehas ang naging marka ni Duterte sa kaparehang survey na isinagawa naman ng Pulse Asia noong Setyembre.

Dalawang percentage points namang mas mataas pa ang trust rating ni Duterte noong Disyembre kumpara noong Setyembre.

Sa survey, tinanong sa respondents ang kanilang opinyon sa pagganap ng tungkulin ng ilang opisyal ng gobyerno para sa nakalipas na tatlong buwan.

Pinulsuhan din ang respondents kung may narinig, nabasa, o napanood sila na kahit ano tungkol sa opisyal.

Isinagawa ang nationwide survey sa 1,200 respondents mula Disyembre 10-15, at 17 noong nakaraang taon.

May error margin ito +/- 3 at may 95 percent confidence level.

Ayon kay Pulse Asia president Ronald Holmes, maaaring may kinalaman ang lagay ng ekonomiya sa ratings ng pangulo.

"We can put it in the context of all the developments in the past quarter. Those developments include essentially an economy that pretty much remained stable, inflation that was within the control of the inflation rate increase in the last quarter, and that's something we expect during the Christmas season," ani Holmes.

("Nanatiling matatag ang ekonomiya at maging ang inflation rate o ang pagtaas ng presyo ng mga produkto at serbisyo ay nanatili sa inaasahan noong Kapaskuhan.")

Ipinagmalaki ng Malacañang ang ratings ni Duterte.

"I think the survey proves what we already know is a fact," ani Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque. "Incidentally... 86 percent believe that the president is taking on a right direction. That's again a fact."

("Pinatutunayan ng survey kung ano ang alam na natin. Naniniwala ang 86 percent na tinatahak ng pangulo ang tamang direksiyon.")

Maaaring tinutukoy ni Roque ang 86 percent na pinakamataas na approval rating ni Duterte na naitala noong Setyembre 2016.

RATINGS NG CHIEF JUSTICE

Kung ano'ng taas ng ratings ni Duterte, siya namang pagbaba ng ratings ni Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno na nakakuha ng 31 percent na approval rating at 27 percent na trust rating.

Ilang percentage point itong mas mababa sa kaniyang approval rating na 35 percent at trust rating na 31 percent noong Setyembre.

Ayon sa Pulse Asia, kasabay kasi ng survey period ang paggulong ng reklamong impeachment kay Sereno sa mababang kapulungan.

Tingin din ng Pulse Asia, magbabago ang rating kapag hindi na puro mambabatas ang nagsasalita sa impeachment at nagsimula nang madinig ng publiko ang panig ng punong mahistrado.

"As the committee hearings proceed, once the side of the Chief Justice, once the evidences in support of the Chief Justice would be presented, this might tick the balance in favor of the Chief Justice," ani Holmes.

("Maaaring mabago ang pananaw kay Sereno kapag nailatag na ang ebidensiyang sumusuporta naman sa panig ng punong mahistrado.")
