DAVAO CITY - Security is tight in Davao City as well-wishers of President-elect Rodrigo Duterte from all over the country throng the city for today's "One Love, One Nation" thanksgiving party for the incoming chief executive.

This morning, supporters are filing into the People's Park for a medical mission and feeding program from 10 a.m. to 12 noon.

Fifty doctors and 30 nurses are on hand to attend to a thousand people expected to benefit from free medical check-up while the feeding program will serve 3,000 others.

Meanwhile, security is being beefed up at the Crocodile Park where organizers earlier called for an emergency meeting at 8 a.m., ahead of a public concert scheduled at 1 p.m. that is expected to draw some 200,000 supporters, as well as local and national artists.
