Upon returning to his shop, Chan was surprised to notice that he did not have any of his personal belongings with him. He immediately reported the incident to the police, which launched a dragnet operation to arrest the suspects.

The suspects were arrested in Candon City after a car chase.

The car's driver, Michael Dacanay, was left under the custody of Candon police to face charges against him. He attempted to run over a policeman at a checkpoint during the car chase.

The four other suspects will be charged with robbery hold-up. - report from Ria Galiste, ABS-CBN News Ilocos
