MANILA - EDSA was literally a ghost town on Sunday, before and during the mega bout between Filipino boxing icon Manny Pacquiao and undefeated American Floyd Mayweather Jr.

Many drivers took a break to watch the so-called "Fight of the Century."

The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority's (MMDA) smartphone app showed green colors – meaning traffic was “light” on Sunday morning.

Several individuals, including a few who chose not to watch the bout, thanked Pacquiao for a traffic-free EDSA.

Some also said Pacquiao should have a match every so often.
