MANILA, Philippines – The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) has released footage from closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras of the robbery allegedly involving the “Donut Gang” at the basement parking of Robinsons Magnolia.

The footage shows the green Mitsubishi Adventure used by the suspects entering the mall parking.

The CCTV camera, however, failed to capture the face of the driver because the suspect did not open the window to get the parking ticket. Instead, the suspect slightly opened his door to get the ticket.

The suspects allegedly took the spare tire of Elbert Alvarez’s Ford Ranger and loaded it into their vehicle.

Alvarez immediately alerted the mall’s security personnel, which led to the encounter with the suspects.

Two men escaping by foot were also captured on video.

QCPD are now investigating if the driver’s license and documents left inside the abandoned Mitsubishi Adventure belong to the suspects. -- Report from Doland Castro, ABS-CBN News
