MANILA -- Located at the northern tip of Camarines Sur, Caramoan is a stunning paradise that boasts crystal-clear water, vibrant reefs and rare sea creatures.

But while tourism continues to flourish in this second-class municipality, Caramoanons have kept their lives simple and traditions intact. Commercial establishments, such as restaurants and convenience stores, are very rare in the town center.

Dubbed as "the red church of Caramoan," St. Michael the Archangel is the oldest church in town. It was built in the 16th century and has withstood countless calamities and two world wars. Many visitors drop by this church to pray before they start sight-seeing.
