Raizel Pauline Albano’s "Anthro on Foot" — a collection of 57 audio walking tours from 17 regions across the country — was honored at the 2024 Global Awards for World Heritage Education Innovative Cases (AWHEIC) at the 46th session of the UNESCO's World Heritage Committee in New Delhi, India last week.

Out of some 300 entries, Albano's work was selected as one of the ten heritage education projects in the "Star of Outstanding" category.

The awards category included heritage projects from Hong Kong, China, Spain, Abu Dhabi, Hungary, and Britain.

She said she is the first Filipino to receive an award from the AWHEIC, launched in 2022 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the World Heritage Convention.

Albano's audio walking tours were featured by Philippine news outlets early this year, which she said "brought us to places I never would have imagined finding myself in."
