MANILA  --   Baguio City's Krishnah Marie Gravidez was crowned Miss World Philippines 2024 and to represent the country in the 72nd edition of the Miss World pageant.

Gravidez bested among 35 candidates and was named Miss World Philippines during the live coronation night held at the Mall of Asia Arena on Friday, July 19, which ended early morning Saturday, July 20.

Gravidez succeeded Filipina-French beauty Gwendolyne Fourniol who represented the Philippines on the international stage in India just this March.

Aside from Gravidez, four other candidates were also crowned with different titles including Face of Beauty Jeanne Isabelle Bilasano from Bicol. Miss Multinational Philippines Nikki Buenafe from Pangasinan. Miss Tourism Philippines Patricia Bianca Tapia from BatAngas, and Reina Hispanoamericana Filipinas Dia Mate from Cavite.  

Pampanga's Sophia Bianca Santos of Pampanga and Tarlac's province Jasmine Omay was named Miss World 2024 second and first princess.

Prior to Miss World Philippines, Gravidez recently joined Miss Universe Philippines 2023 where she got the Miss Charm Philippines title then later on withdrew from the pageant.

The Philippines has one Miss World titleholder, Megan Young, who won in 2013.
