MANILA -- Chelsea Anne Manalo now has a name for her iconic walk during the Miss Universe Philippines 2024 pageant.

She officially unveiled the "tampisaw" walk during her campus homecoming at De La Salle Araneta University (DLSAU).

"It's going to be the 'tampisaw' walk officially. I had to announce it now because everyone was asking for it. I wanted to call it the 'tampisaw' walk because it's somehow related to how I presented myself on the runway for the swimsuit round, with the song 'Raining in Manila' playing in the background," Manalo said.

"A little bit of background, also in Bulacan I know we have a little bit of flood, but [I'd also like to] highlight how fun and playful Chelsea is. She's like any other kid na naglaro sa labas ng bahay nila. So you'd see how my legs were, as if she's playing," she added.

During her emotional visit to DLSAU where she graduated in 2022 with a degree in Tourism Management, Manalo was welcomed by fellow alumni, friends, and professors as she tearfully walked down the lobby.

Reflecting on her journey and expressing gratitude for the support she has received, she said: "It's emotional coming back here because I saw all my friends and family. This is where I started to dream big, where I was molded."

"Thank you for allowing me to come back, I feel so humbled."
