A 'Puppy Prom' celebrating rescued dogs attracted many animal lovers to the event in North Park, San Diego on Saturday (May 18), keen to find out who is the prom king and queen.

The pooches, dressed up to the nines and accompanied by their owners, arrived at the prom organized by the Helen Woodward Animal Center - a rescue and adoption group. The event, in its 10th iteration, brings together adopted alumni and their devoted humans, highlighting the joy of animal rescue through a fun-filled reunion and a festive fashion competition.

The four-legged fashionistas took part in a "cat"-walk. Amid the cheers and wagging tails, Sir Fritzle von Vicious was crowned King, with Brad, affectionately known as B-Rad, taking the title of Prince. The Queen's crown went to the dazzling Sparkle, and Cinna Bella Buns was named Princess.

Footage provided by the organizer showed the attendees interacting with the stylish pups and enjoying the lively atmosphere.

In addition to the canine court, the center also showed love for their feline alumni with a “Best Dressed Kitty King and Queen” photo contest.
