Conrad Ricamora in 'Oh, Mary!' 

NEW YORK -- Theater award nominations are out and Filipino-Americans on- and off-Broadway are among those getting the nod. 

Nominations for the prestigious 2024 Drama League Awards have been revealed in recognition of the best of Broadway and off-Broadway shows in New York City. 

Among the nominees announced on Monday,  April 22, were Filipino-American stage performers led by the first all-Filipino cast musical "Here Lies Love" with three Drama League nominations.  

"Here Lies Love," a musical about the rise and fall of the Marcos dictatorship in the Philippines, received nominations for Outstanding Revival of a Musical, Outstanding Direction of a Musical for Alex Timbers, and Distinguished Performance Award for Conrad Ricamora.

"Here Lies Love" stars Arielle Jacobs as Imelda Marcos, Jose Llana as Ferdinand Marcos Sr., Ricamora as Ninoy Aquino and Lea Salonga as Aurora Aquino, just to name a few 

Ricamora is also nominated for another Distinguished Performance Award for “Oh, Mary!” a humorous take on the life of Abraham Lincoln, where he plays the role of “the husband” of Mary also known as Abe. 

Two-time Tony nominee Eva Noblezada is nominated for Distinguished Performance Award in the musical "The Great Gatsby."

Meanwhile nominations for the 2024 Outer Critics Circle Awards were announced on Tuesday, April 23, with "Here Lies Love" getting two nominations: Outstanding Revival of a Musical and Outstanding Scenic Design for David Korins.

Ricamora received another nomination for Outstanding Featured Performer in an Off-Broadway play for "Oh, Mary!" which is also nominated for Outstanding New Off-Broadway Play 

"The Great Gatsby," where Noblezada stars with Jeremy Jordan, is also in the running for Outstanding New Broadway Musical.  

Winners of the 2024 Drama League Awards will be named on May 17 at the Ziegfeld Ballroom. 

Winners of the 2024 Outer Critics Circle Awards will be announced via press release on May 13, followed by an awards ceremony held on May 23.
