MANILA -- Mylo Speech Buddy, an innovative speech development system, is set to revolutionize the way children with speech delays, particularly those on the autism spectrum, receive support. 

Vincent Rocha, the founder of Mylo Speech Buddy, said the launch of this platform will serve as a celebration of World Autism Awareness Day.

Mylo Speech Buddy is an app available via the App Store and Play Store. Its primary goal is to leverage technology to empower parents to continue speech therapy sessions at home. 

"Ang goal po natin is to use technology para ang mga parents makapag-follow through sa bahay. Kunwari merong speech therapy sessions, ang goal po natin before and after speech therapy sessions may magagawa na ang parents,” Rocha emphasized. 

(“Our goal is for parents to be able to follow through at home, even after speech therapy sessions. Before and after these sessions, parents will be equipped to engage with their children effectively.")

"We are celebrating Global Autism Awareness Day by sharing 'ausome' stories. We have invited 11 families from various backgrounds, and our primary objective is to showcase real stories from real parents to raise awareness and educate society about autism," Rocha added.

Rocha also underscored the importance of providing guidance and support to children under the autism spectrum. 

"Napaka-importante most especially right now, globally, on an average 1% for every country (is affected). Isa pa sa pinaka magandang bagay na tignan is the earlier the intervention the better,” he said.

(“It is crucial, especially now, on a global scale, where an average of 1% of every country is affected. One of the most crucial aspects to consider is that the earlier the intervention, the better.")
