“Many people know that DJ Jimmy Nocon is all about surprises, mga pasabog, so, I’m bringing that same energy to Riyadh. With only a few hours left before my spin, I’m finalizing my preparations for the Riyadh Season Concert 2024 by creating a special set where I’ll mix well-loved Filipino songs with an EDM twist so everyone can sing, dance, and enjoy together. It’ll be a perfect blend of nostalgia and high-energy beats for an unforgettable night,” he said.

“I’m really excited for this concert, especially because I get to bring joy to our hardworking OFWs in Riyadh. They deserve it for all the sacrifices they’ve made. This is my way of giving back by creating a memorable experience for them. I’m also looking forward to performing with big names in the industry, and I can’t wait to make everyone feel at home for a night,” he said.

“Being a DJ is incredibly fulfilling because I get to share my passion, my love for music, and of course create unforgettable experiences for people. Seeing the crowd enjoy and connect through my sets is the best reward. Like for our kababayans in Riyadh, I get to bring a bit of home (Philippines) to them, which adds more meaning to what I do,” he shared.

"As much as I’d love to explore Saudi Arabia after my gig, unfortunately I won’t be able to because I have to fly back to the Philippines for the Masskara Festival in Bacolod. However, I’ve been enjoying the views while traveling to the venue and back to the hotel. Nakikita ko ‘yung ganda ng architecture and roads nila. I also love trying the local food and exploring new flavors whenever I can. Overall, I’m really enjoying my stay here,” he said.

Does a DJ who travels abroad to perform have go-to songs? “My go-to songs while traveling are lo-fi tracks. It might seem a bit unusual to some people since I’m a DJ, but I actually listen to lo-fi genres the most, which are those na hindi ko ma-play sa mga clubs and other gigs ko. I love their chill and laid-back vibe, especially when I want to relax and prepare my ears before getting into the party scene.”
