MANILA – “Naruto”, the popular manga series that tells the story of a young ninja, is set to end next month after a 15-year run.
The final chapter of “Naruto” will be released on November 10, on the 50th issue of Weekly Shonen Jump.
According to Weekly Shonen Jump’s website, a film titled “The Last – Naruto the Movie” will open in Japan on December 6. An exhibition of “Naruto” artwork will take place next year.
Written and Illustrated by Masashi Kishimoto, “Naruto” has spawned multiple anime, anime films, OVAs and game adaptations since its release in 1999.
The anime series gained popularity in the Philippines after it was aired on ABS-CBN.
Former “Pinoy Big Brother” housemate Fourth Pagotan once worked as a voice talent for the Tagalog-dubbed “Naruto,” taking on the role of a character named Pain.
