MANILA, Philippines - The Bahay Pangarap (House of Dreams) may be the perfect home for the country's first bachelor president.
Located at the Presidential Security Group (PSG) compound in Manila, the one-bedroom home is only 5 minutes away from Malacañang Palace, the future office of President-elect Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino III.

It also has a swimming pool, where Aquino can relax and unwind.
The only downside is that it's near the very polluted Pasig river, which emits an unpleasant smell.
Built in the 1930s, Bahay Pangarap was designed by architect Juan Arellano. It already underwent a number of renovations, with the latest led by architect Conrad Onglao in 2008.
The house is currently used by outgoing President Arroyo to welcome special guests. Recently, United States Secretary of State Hillary Clinton went here as part of her visit to the Philippines.
Aquino currently lives in his small family residence at Times Street, Quezon City. Since it's located in a narrow and easily accessible street, it will be harder for the PSG to secure the president-elect should he decide to stay here.
Earlier this week, Aquino revealed that he only considers Bahay Pangarap and his Times Street residence as his home should he be proclaimed president.
He refused to live in Malacañang or the nearby Arlegui mansion, saying that these are too big for a bachelor like him. -- Report from Willard Cheng, ABS-CBN News
