MANILA – Last week, celebrity couple Vicki Belo and Hayden Kho surprised the public as they took to social media to introduce their baby daughter.

Belo, 63, also confirmed that Scarlet Snow is her biological daughter with Hayden, who recently turned 35.

The baby is now 14 months old.

In an Instagram post over the weekend, Kho explained the story behind Scarlet Snow’s name.

He cited a Bible verse from the Bible, Isaiah 1:18: “Though your sins be red as scarlet I shall make it white as snow.”

“Our daughter Scarlet Snow is a constant reminder to me of the transforming power of Jesus Christ. All of us have things about us that we don’t want others to know. We have harbored wrong thoughts, pursued wrong experiences, or done wrong things that we are ashamed of. It may not be as offensive as scandalous as mine, but we all have those dark secrets,” he wrote.

Kho seems to be referring to his sex video scandal in 2009 involving various women, including celebrities.

His medical license was revoked in connection with the scandal, but he was reinstated as a doctor by the Professional Regulation Commission in 2014.

Kho admitted that he used to think he is not worthy to be a father because of his past.

“But here I am now, blessed with a beautiful child. Never, never, never forget that out of what seems to be evil, God our Father can and does bring good to us His children if we but humble ourselves and come to him,” he said.

Our daughter Scarlet Snow is a constant reminder to me of the transforming power of Jesus Christ. All of us have things about us that we don't want others to know. We have harbored wrong thoughts, pursued wrong experiences, or done wrong things that we are ashamed of. It may not be as offensive and scandalous as mine, but we all have those dark secrets. God is inviting all of us to humble ourselves, confess our sins, and lay all of them down at the foot of the cross; and if we do God says, "Though your sins be red as SCARLET, I shall make it white as SNOW" (Isaiah 1:18). I used to think that I'll never be worthy of being a father because of my past. But here I am now, blessed with a beautiful child. Never, never, NEVER forget that out of what seems to be evil, God our Father can and does bring good to us His children if we but humble ourselves and come to Him.

Scarlet Snow is Kho’s first child and Belo’s third. She has two other children with ex-husband Atom Henares, Quark and Cristalle.
