No frills.

Suzuki Address -- the latest among the brand's line of scooters to arrive in the Philippines -- gets the job done by addressing the basics of travel, such as getting from point A to point B without the hassle.

For one, comfort will always be a concern when riding. But with the Suzuki Address' low floor boards and relatively higher handlebar, a 5'8" rider like me can have more leg room and be in a comfortable sitting position.

The Suzuki Address runs on a 113 cc, air-cooled, four-stroke engine that produces 6.9 kw at 8,000 rpm and 8.7 Nm at 6,500 rpm. Because it's a 95-kilogram scooter, its "twist-and-go" feature makes it much easier for the rider to weave through city traffic.

The scooter could sprint up to 70 kph with ease -- just don't go speeding with trucks and buses as it isn't built for racing.

The Suzuki Address also boasts of an easy-to-read instrument panel, adding more convenience and comfort. Nothing fancy, just the basics: an analog speedometer, a fuel gauge and a turn indicator.

Luggage

Another thing that this scooter addresses is the luggage. The Suzuki Address comes with a well-spaced 20.6-liter underseat compartment, which is big enough to fit a full-face helmet. You can fit in a small bag, maybe three shirts and a pair of jeans.

You can easily access the compartment using the main ignition keyhole, which means you don’t have to remove the keys just to plug it to the side of your scooter.

There is also a hook at the front in case you have other items you need to carry, such as the vegetables you bought from the public market.

Cost

How about the cost? Penny pinchers like me would like to get the most out of the fuel we buy.

Since it’s a 113 cc, fuel-injected scooter, it saves lots of gasoline. Its Eco Performance feature coupled with the Suzuki Fuel Injection System allows the scooter to generate power at optimum fuel levels.

It houses a 5.2 liter gas tank, which is bigger than most scooters of its class. This means you won’t have to refuel it every other day (depending on use).

At P66,900 per unit, the Suzuki Address is relatively cheap for a fuel-injected scooter. It also comes with a stylish design that will appeal to younger Filipino riders.
