BUTUAN CITY -- The Agusan del Norte Provincial Capitol has been turned into a giant Christmas gift wrapped with a big red ribbon as the provincial government opened a display of Christmas lights and decorations to the public.

The Sydney Opera House and Singapore's Merlion are some of the famous landmarks that were included in the Christmas display, along with glowing statues of Santa Claus and other holiday symbols.

"We do this in order to give opportunity sa mga kababayan sa Agusan na ma-feel nila ang spirit of Christmas through the beautiful lights that we are showing na libre," Governor Ma. Angelica Matba said.

(We do this so that our locals can feel the Christmas spirit without having to spend.)
