University of Santo Tomas officially has launched a month-long celebration of the Christmas season through its annual "Paskuhan", with the lighting of Christmas decorations in the campus.

A total of 600,000 LEDs brighten the campus, with around 600 lanterns reminiscent of the paper lanterns featured in the Disney animated film "Tangled".

Towering above the rest of the decor is a 70-foot-tall Christmas tree in the university's grandstand decorated with assorted ornaments, lanterns, and lamps.

Continuing the month-long celebration is a Christmas Concert the day after the opening, featuring homegrown Thomasian talents from the UST Conservatory of Music, the UST Symphony Orchestra, and choirs from partner communities of UST. The concert will be held in the UST Chapel at 7 in the evening.

On December 21, a Paskuhan Fair will be held in the campus' Osmeña and Quezon Drive from noon onward and a program later in the afternoon featuring well-known bands at the UST Grandstand. Capping off the Paskuhan celebrations will be a grand pyromusical display late in the evening.
