ILOCOS NORTE- More than 50,000 locals and tourists are expected to witness the grandest cultural event in the province on Saturday.

Dubbed as “Tan-ok ni Ilocano” (Greatness of Ilocano) Festival of Festivals, the event showcases the province's unique history, culture and tradition through dance.

Twenty-one municipalities and two cities in the province will perform their own dance interpretations in one big stage at the Ferdinand Marcos Memorial Stadium, Laoag City, highlighting their unique and distinct culture through products, history, religion, livelihood, creativity and natural heritage.

"We see this as a worthwhile exercise especially for the young to explore, to retell and help us in retelling Ilocano history kumbaga...as we build the stronger identity as a province," Provincial Tourism Officer Aianree Raquel said.

Performing groups assured of better choreography and concepts this year. They vowed to add "spectacular" props and surprise acts to highlight the best representation of their municipalities.
