MANILA -- To usher in the holiday season, the ABS-CBN Philharmonic Orchestra will be playing the music of Jose Mari Chan in a special concert at The Theatre of Solaire Resort and Casino next month.

The orchestra, under the baton of guest conductor Louie Ocampo, will perform some of the most memorable music that Chan composed.

Audiences will get to hear live performances of Chan's hits like "Beautiful Girl," "Please Be Careful With My Heart," "A Love To Last," and "Can We Just Stop and Talk a While," to be sung by Chan and guest artists Jona, Bituin Escalante, Juris, Markki Stroem, Acapellago, Migz Jaleco and Vocal Synergy.

"December 16 for me is a graduation of sort. On my 50th year as a recording artist, ABS-CBN is going to give me this honor. It's like graduating from high school. After this, the horizon is wide. For as long as I can write music, for as long as there are people who will listen and watch my concert, I will continue to compose. I will not bury my talent," Chan said.

The program will naturally include some of Chan's original Christmas carols like "Christmas In Our Heart," "Christmas Children," "A Wish on Christmas Night."

Directed by ABS-CBN Events head Mickey Muñoz, concert will be on December 16 at Solaire with a matinee show at 3 p.m. and a gala at 8 p.m.

Here's a sneak peek of what concertgoers may expect from the concert.
