MANILA – Renowned Filipino designer Monique Lhuillier shared the story behind the wedding gown of Anne Curtis as she congratulated the “It’s Showtime” host on her recent wedding to restaurateur Erwan Heussaff.

“This beautiful soul came into our lives 10 months ago,” recalled Lhuillier in an Instagram post on Thursday, sharing a photo of Curtis fitting her wedding gown in her atelier.

“She was committed to creating the gown of her dreams. It was very important for her to create a one-of-a-kind wedding dress that would reflect the one-of-a-kind love she shares with her now-husband.”

Lhuillier, who has designed dresses for many Hollywood celebrities, went on to share that Curtis’ dress entailed multiple meetings and fittings, and “took hundreds of hours to bring to life.”

“The end result is a regal, lace ball gown with a plunging sweetheart neckline, sheer long sleeves, and an exaggerated, cathedral-length train with matching hand applique lace veil,” she said. “Brides like you remind me why the gown is such an important part of the wedding.”

“Congratulations, Anne, and thank you for letting me be a part of your fairy tale!” she ended.

Curtis married Heussaff in the presence of their closest friends and relatives in New Zealand over the weekend.
