"Nelda showed grace and elegance befitting a proud Filipina, making her a true inspiration to women all over the world," Binibining Pilipinas Charities Inc chair Stella Araneta said in a congratulatory statement.

Ibe's second-place finish was the Philippines' best showing in Miss Globe since 2015, when model Anne Lorraine Colis won the crown.

In late October, Elizabeth Clenci finished second runner-up at Miss Grand International held in Vietnam.
