MANILA -- Olive Garden is one of the biggest restaurant chains in the United States. It is an Italian-American restaurant that serves pastas and pizzas as its specialty with more than 800 stores worldwide.

The Bistro Group, operates several American restaurant chains in the country like TGI Fridays, Red Lobster, Denny's, Hard Rock Cafe, Texas Roadhouse, and Buffalo Wild Wings, among others, got the franchise of the American chain.

In an interview with ABS-CBN News during TGI Fridays 25th anniversary kick-off celebrations last week, The Bistro Group executives revealed the location of the first Olive Garden in the Philippines.

According to TGI Fridays vice president for operations Rechele Tiongson and The Bistro Group vice president for marketing Lisa Ronquillo, the first Olive Garden branch will open at the newly opened Ayala Mall Manila Bay.

Originally slated to open before the year ends, the restaurant now is expected to open first quarter of 2020.
