PH bet off to Myanmar in search of elusive Miss Grand International title

She's off to Myanmar, bringing with her the hopes and dreams of Filipino pageant fans for a first Miss Grand International title.

But despite the immense pressure, beauty queen Eva Patalinjug still managed to flash a smile while holding a Philippine flag as she posted a photo of herself leaving for the competition this Saturday.

"So over the moon to be able to represent my country," she wrote as the caption. "Let's do this."

She'll be looking to best Elizabeth Clenci's second runner-up finish in last year's edition, which was won by Maria Jose Lora of Peru.

The Miss Grand International pageant is scheduled on October 25 at Myanmar's The One Entertainment Park. It is expected to host more than 70 candidates from around the world.
