MANILA -- Honda Philippines, Inc., on Saturday unveiled two new bikes -- the all-new Genio, a stylish 110-cc scooter targeted for a younger generation of riders; as well as the all-new ADV150, a sporty adventure bike packed with the latest tech features.
Genio aims to tap into the growing market of female riders in the country. The chic design and special features of the bike make it ideal for riders who prefer bikes that are lightweight, easy to handle, comfortable and have built-in safety features.
As part of Genio’s unveiling, Kapamilya star Yassi Pressman was announced as Honda’s newest female brand ambassador, joining co-star Coco Martin. Pressman plays the leading lady of Martin in ABS-CBN’s long-running action teleserye "Ang Probinsyano."
“We chose Yassi Pressman because we believe that she personifies what the all-new Genio is all about, cool and fashionable,” said Susumu Mitsuishi, president of Honda Philippines, Inc. during the launch.
The casual scooter is designed with smart technology to fit the on-the-move attitude of modern Filipinas. The bike comes with a power charger to make digital communication easier, has LED headlights and a digital meter panel with ECO indicator as well as a secure key shutter with seat opener. It comes equipped with a combi-brake system having a front disc brake and rear mechanical drum braking system.
The Genio comes in two color variants for the Philippine market: white/red and white/blue.
At the same event, Honda also released their much-awaited adventure bike, the all-new ADV150, a unique scooter bike ideal for urban adventurers.
The ADV150 is a futuristic and sporty bike armed with slew of smart features. It has an adjustable windscreen, all-LED lighting system, full digital meter panel for clear riding information reading, power charger console box, 28L large utility box with seat stopper, naked handlebar and the Smart Key System.
The bike comes with 14-inch front tire size and 13-inch rear tire size as well as twin sub-tank rear suspension for a more comfortable ride. Since safety is foremost in all Honda products, the ADV150 features an emergency stop signal (ESS) which automatically blinks the hazard light when sudden stop occurs and front and rear wavy disc brakes with 1 channel Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) for more stable braking system.
The eye-catching ADV150 comes in two color variants: Winning Red and Matte Meteorite Brown Metallic.
“We are excited to bring to the Filipino market our latest model, the all-new Genio and the all-new ADV150. These new models will add excitement to the joy of riding a Honda motorcycle. We are confident that our Filipino customers will appreciate the motorcycles we created because we made them with their dreams and aspirations in mind,” Mitsuishi said.
“The all-new Genio and the all-new ADV150 combine innovation with style and function so it’s not only the male riders who will experience the joy of riding, but ladies, as well,” Mitsuishi added.
The two new models will be available at the Honda 3S shops in December for the GENIO with an SRP of P72,900 and in January 2020 for the ADV150, with an SRP of P149,000.
