MANILA – Actress-model Isabelle Daza was ecstatic upon meeting Italian chef Massimo Bottura, who owns and runs the world’s best restaurant for 2016.

Daza, who got married in Tuscany, Italy over the weekend, chanced upon Bottura at his restaurant, Osteria Francescana, which ranked first in the 2016 World’s 50 Best Restaurant Awards.

“So today I met the Massimo Bottura outside his restaurant, the number one restaurant in the world!” Daza wrote as she posted a photo of her photo with the chef on Instagram on Thursday (Manila time).

The “Tubig at Langis” actress shared that she invited Bottura to visit the Philippines and try the country’s cuisine.

“[I] Invited him to come to the Philippines to try some home-cooked Filipino food eaten with our hands ‘kamayan-style.’ He said he’s never been [to the Philippines] and he would like to come!” she wrote.

Daza’s grandmother, the late Nora Daza, is considered the Philippines’ first culinary icon.

Her uncle, Sandy Daza, is a well-known chef, restaurateur and TV host.
