MANILA -- Apart from being one of the happiest places on the planet, the Philippines is also home to some of the funniest comedians and entertainers.

One of them is Alex Calleja, a stand-up comedian and scriptwriter who is now vying to be Laugh Factory’s funniest person in the world.

Calleja will be competing against 88 comedians from 55 other countries.

To help him win the title, one must watch the video below and share it on their social media accounts.

The top 20 comedians with the most number of likes, shares and votes will be sent to the United States, where they will compete for the title "Funniest Person in the World."

Calleja is one of the writers behind ABS-CBN shows like "Goin’ Bulilit," "It's Showtime," and "Funny Ka Pare Ko."

He is also one of the top headliners of Comedy Manila, alongside comedians Ryan Rems Sarita and Nonong Ballinan, among others.
