MANILA – Is there a brewing feud between beauty queens-turned-actresses Maxine Medina and Kylie Verzosa?

This after fans noticed that Medina unfollowed Verzosa on Instagram amid rumors that the latter spat on the former while filming a scene for their afternoon soap, “Los Bastardos.”

Verzosa, on the other hand, is still among Medina’s Instagram followers.

The rumors surfaced after Medina’s cousin, host Dianne Medina, took to Facebook to share a blind item about an actress who spat on her relative during a scene even if it was not part of the script.

Neither Medina nor Verzosa have yet to directly address the issue.

On Thursday, however, Medina made a cryptic post on Instagram Stories as she thanked her family for being there for her now that she needs them.

Medina and Verzosa were batchmates in Binibining Pilipinas 2016, winning the titles of Miss Universe Philippines and Bb. Pilipinas International, respectively.

Rumors of a rivalry between Medina and Verzosa ensued, prompting the two beauty queens to assure their respective fans that they are good friends.

In a previous interview, Verzosa even fiercely defended Medina from critics, telling them that they have no right to judge her.

Medina eventually finished in the Top 6 of Miss Universe 2016, while Verzosa won the Miss International title for the Philippines in the same year.
