MANILA -- A documentary on the 19 martyrs of Aklan who fought in the Philippine revolution will have a special screening later this week ahead of its official release.

Directed by Kevin Pison Piamonte and JR Macahilas, "Daan Patungong Tawaya" (Road to Paradise) tells the story of the 19 men who started one of the biggest Katipunan movements outside Luzon.

"Daan Patungong Tawaya" is one of the four finalists of the Sinesaysay Documentary Lab and Showcase 2018 funded by the Film Development Council of the Philippines and the National Historical Commission of the Philippines.
