MANILA -- Theater star Joanna Ampil took to social media to express her happiness as she appears in her first "Maalaala Mo Kaya" episode.

On Instagram, Ampil posted a teaser for the August 24 episode of "MMK," the country's longest drama anthology.

"I remember being asked about wanting to be on Philippine television once. My reply was, 'I want to experience all the sigawan, sampalan, putikan, iyakan, absolutely bare-faced.' As they all say, be careful what you wish for. My first ever episode of 'MMK' has it all and more!" she said.
