TANAUAN, LEYTE - Frenzied cheers from the crowd filled the air as dancers clad in colorful costumes moved gracefully to rhythmic festival beats in this year's Pasaka Festival in Tanauan, Leyte.

Seven teams representing various schools showcased their history and culture through festival presentations in the town plaza Sunday morning.

Some came in crab and sea turtle costumes highlighting their town's rich marine resources. Some also danced as they weave to showcase their banig industry.

Tecson added that the festival also shows the resiliency of residents who were badly hit by Typhoon Yolanda in 2013.
