BOHOL -- Looking for a unique and exotic treat?

Then try chichaworms, a crispy snack from the province of Bohol.

These are deep-fried superworms flavored with sugar, salt and chili powder.

The cultured creatures are fed organic food like vegetables and fruits. Chichaworms are available in different tourist spots in Bohol, like the Tarsier Conservation Park in Loboc, where ABS-CBN News and selected media and bloggers sampled the delicacy as part of a tour organized by AirAsia and Bohol Tourism Office.

It is also available in Bohol's Tagbilaran Airport for P70 per pack.

Chichaworms taste pretty good. The airy tiny snack actually reminds some of fried chicken skin.

This tasty and protein-packed crunchy treat is the perfect pasalubong from Bohol.
