MANILA -- Nippon Premium Bakery is adding Milk and Caramel mini loaves to its growing list of Fuwa Fuwa branded bakery goods.

The two new products are thicker slices of their soft and fluffy premium bread. The milk mini loaf is easily be paired with spreads and are somewhat like the thicker slices used in kaya toast, while the caramel mini loaf is ideal for desserts, particularly with ice cream, jam, and syrup

The launch of the new products came just weeks after Nippon Premium Bakery recently inaugurated its baking facility at the First Philippine Industrial Park in Santo Tomas, Batangas.

This 2-hectare factory broke ground in 2017 as a result of the joint venture between Tokyo-based holding company Sojitz Corporation, Ryoyu Baking Co. Ltd, and JR&R Distributors. The factory floor features state-of-the-art baking and materials transport equipment that can produce 3,600 loaves, 32,256 sandwich rolls and 17,568 buns in an 8-hour run.

The factory currently employs 100 people and will increase to 300 as production ramps up.

The factory currently produces three main items for the Philippine market. Fuwa Fuwa Select loaves are soft sliced white bread available in 6-slice and 12-slice bags; Fuwa Fuwa rolls, long buns with chocolate, vanilla, or strawberry icing in the middle; and Fuwa Fuwa buns with custard cream filling.
