MANILA -- Rick Harrison of "Pawn Stars" fame will be heading back to Manila for History Con 2017.

The reality star will join US-based Filipino bladesmith Ryu Lim, who shot to fame after his stint in History's "Forged in Fire," as part of the popular convention's lineup of celebrity guests this year.

The others are Jamie Dempsey from "Ride 'N Seek," Horny Mike from "Counting Cars," Justin Mott from "Photo Face-Off," and Danielle Colby from "The Pickers."

Harrison first visited the country in 2013 as part of a tour promoting his show. Lim, on the hand, was here just last year, holding workshops in Batangas and Puerto Princesa on basic blade making.

Originally from Pampanga, Lim caught the attention of US viewers when he won an episode of "Forged in Fire," a show in which the best blacksmiths go head-to-head crafting axes, swords, and daggers, among other bladed weapons.

According to the organizers of History Con, last year's inaugural edition attracted more than 50,000 visitors over four days.

This year promises to be a bigger spectacle as it also coincides with the 10th anniversary of History in Asia.

To celebrate, History will be awarding 10 notable individuals who have made a significant impact in the country’s life and culture.

History Con 2017 will be held at World Trade Center in Pasay City from August 10 to 13. Tickets are now available for purchase online and at all SM Ticket outlets.
