MANILA — April Love Jordan, who finished runner-up in the Miss World Philippines pageant in 2012, has passed away. She was 31.

Jordan died on Friday after battling liver cancer, PEP.ph reported.

Queenie Rehman, who won Miss World Philippines 2012, mourned her friend and fellow beauty queen on Instagram with a video of them together.

Rehman wrote: “I just can’t accept that you’re gone. We won’t be able to have [these] wonderful moments together. I know that you’re in good place right now and we will truly miss you. You’ve fought hard in life till your very last breath.

“We are truly [grateful] to have met you and of course being one of your close friends during Miss World Philippines and the years after that. We love you and we miss you so much.”

Jordan had competed in several beauty pageants prior to her 3rd Princess feat in Miss World Philippines. She also joined Binibining Pilipinas, Mutya ng Pilipinas, and Miss Philippines Earth.

Jordan had also juggled a career as a flight attendant, having finished a tourism degree, according to her Binibining Pilipinas profile.

The funeral of Jordan will be held on Tuesday.
