MANILA -- The PBS investigative documentary series "Frontline" is streaming "A Thousand Cuts," which features Rappler chief Maria Ressa, for free this Independence Day.

The documentary by award-winning Fil-Am director Ramona Diaz will be shown for 24 hours starting 6 p.m. on June 12 on the Frontline YouTube channel.

The Sundance Film Festival 2020 entry tackles press freedom in the Philippines under the Duterte administration.

Aside from the 24-hour streaming of "A Thousand Cuts," PBS's "Frontline" will also hold a web discussion with Ressa titled "Truth, Power, and the Importance of Press Freedom" at 8 p.m. on June 13. It will be shown on both Zoom and Facebook.
