MANILA -- The PBS investigative documentary series "Frontline" is streaming "A Thousand Cuts," which features Rappler chief Maria Ressa, for free this Independence Day.

The documentary by award-winning Fil-Am director Ramona Diaz will be shown for 24 hours starting 6 p.m. on June 12 on the Frontline YouTube channel.

The Sundance Film Festival 2020 entry tackles press freedom in the Philippines under the Duterte administration.

According to an article from Rappler, "A Thousand Cuts" will also have a theatrical release in August, and a television broadcast in November.
