MANILA — Theater star Aicelle Santos channeled her memorable stage roles over the years in a virtual concert Tuesday night, as part of a fundraiser for frontline workers and vulnerable communities amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Santos was among the latest batch of artists to lend their voice to "Bayanihan, Musikahan," a Facebook Live concert series that also serves as a donation platform.

From her home setup, Santos streamed an hour-long session filled with performances, as well as candid interactions with viewers and donors.

In one portion of the concert, Santos enumerated her "life-changing" roles with a cappella snippets of each one's signature tune, such as "Balut" from "Katy! the Musical," "Basang-Basa sa Ulan" from "Rak of Aegis," and "The Movie in My Mind" from "Miss Saigon."

She concluded the suite with a full rendition of "Gawin Mo Akong Sining," from "Himala: Isang Musikal."

Santos also sang a number of her album tracks, including "Liwanag," "Ikaw Pa Rin," "Tuloy-Tuloy Lang," and "Kapangyarihan ng Pag-Ibig."

In between performances, Santos paid tribute to healthcare workers whom she said deserve to be protected, too, through efforts like "Bayanihan, Musikahan."
