Directed by Alexander Cortez for the group’s 42nd theater season, “Bagong Cristo” mirrors the narrative of Christ's passion and resurrection to examine the issues of class struggle and social inequality.

Starring Boo Gabunada as Jesus Gatbiaya, “Bagong Cristo” is the third and final installment of Dulaang UP's trilogy of uploaded productions with the themes of “remembrance, resistance and resurrection,” after Nick Joaquin’s “Fathers and Sons” and Floy Quintos’s “The Kundiman Party.”
