MANILA -- The Moment Group (TMG), which is behind homegrown restaurants 8Cuts, Ooma and Manam, among others, opened its latest original concept on Tuesday.

Shawa Wama at Rockwell's Power Plant Mall in Makati features interpretations of Israeli, Lebanese, and Turkish street food. It promises to be TMG's most affordable restaurant with complete meals priced at below P250.

The food is meant to be taken out or eaten on the go. Shawa Wama has also partnered with FoodPanda to provide food delivery services.

Given the price point and quick service aspect of Shawa Wama, this may also be the first TMG concept that will be available for franchise, eliciting inquiries as early as the previews.

The menu of Shawa Wama is very streamlined. Guest can choose to have beef, chicken, or lamb in a pita pocket, or over pita, rice or humus.

If you can’t decide, get the Wama Special which has large meat portions together with rice, hummus and pita.

A more premium option is the 12-hour sous vide Primo beef slab on rice or as part of the Wama Special.

For vegetarians and health buffs, Shawa Wama has fried cauliflower or red beet felafel also available in the Wama Veggie Special.

Combine the mains with cabbage slaw and a dose of Shawa Wama’s five sauces -- Cheese, Mildly Spicy Green Chili, Hot Red Bird’s Eye Chili, White Garlic, and Lemon Garlic -- and you have a plethora of flavor combinations that will keep guests coming back for more.

Check out the yogurt ice cream specially made by Manila Creamery if you’re still hungry for dessert.
