MANILA – Pia Wurtzbach thinks it’s about time that Binibining Pilipinas changes its rules concerning the question and answer portion of the national pageant.

After Miss Universe changed its format as seen last January, Wurtzbach said Binibining Pilipinas Charities Inc. (BPCI) should also reconsider and give more importance to the Q&A segment.

“I think Binibini should focus more on the question and answer because from what we remember, 10% lang ng judging ang Q&A pero kapag nanood tayo ng Miss Universe ngayon, minsan 'yun ang make or break na sa girls. I think we should really try to change it a little bit,” she said.

Last month, the BPCI already selected 55 bets out of 95 hopefuls in a tight race among pageant repeaters, fresh faces, and cross-over beauties from other national competitions.

Among those who served as judges in selecting the initial 55 beauties were reigning Miss International Kylie Verzosa and outgoing Binibining Pilipinas queens Maxine Medina and Nicole Cordoves.
