MANILA – From fancy to fast food, here are some of the promos offered at various dining spots in Metro Manila for Valentine’s Day.

CITY OF DREAMS MANILA

For a lovely lunch or dinner affair, Crystal Dragon lays out a five-course Valentine set menu (P3,880++ per person) which captures the best of Cantonese cuisine and other regional Chinese specialties.

The menu, available until February 16, consists of Black Pepper Duck Meat Swan Dumpling and Deep-fried Prawn Swan Dumpling; Braised Sea Treasures and Scallop Dumpling and Black Truffle in Lobster Bisque; Braised Pork Ribs with Red Wine Vinegar and Wolfberry Reduction; Wok-fried Egg Noodles with Seafood, Sliced Abalone and Vegetable Sauce; and Double-boiled Warm Manuka Honey Ginger Tea, Chestnut, and Sesame Dumpling.

A destination of choice for a romantic dinner date over a gastronomic feast of Japanese-Peruvian flavors, Nobu highlights its five-course Valentine Omakase (P10,000 nett for two) that comes with a complimentary welcome sake cocktail.

Exclusively available on February 14, the Omakase begins with Nobu Sashimi Trio, which is composed of Oyster New Style, Oyster with Mango Salsa, and Kinme with Soy Cream Truffle followed by a seasonal selection of Nobu Sushi including Anago, Wagyu, Seared Uni Cup, and Tamago.

Whole Blue Crab, creamy and spicy with shitake, negi, masago and scallop chawan mushi; and Sous vide Australian Tenderloin with Dark Chocolate, Sake and Mirin Reduction Demi-glace, Broccolini and Nobu Style Fries come after. A plate of Fraisier Crème Mousseline Parfait with Champagne Jelly and Strawberries completes the Omakase.

CRAVINGS

From February 13 to 16, Cravings introduces a Valentine’s Day menu expertly crafted and curated by the chefs of CCA Manila. From fairytale-themed tables to passion-filled cocktails, guests are taken on a journey of the heart and stomach in a gastronomic collaboration all for the love of food.

The magic begins with Curried Cream of Cauliflower with Crab Meat, and Salad Greens from Salad bar with 3 Kinds of Dressing. CRIMSON HOTEL FILINVEST CITY

On February 14, the Deck Bar is offering an al fresco Valentine’s Day dinner with a four-course dinner. Dubbed as “Dine Under the Stars,” couples can expect a one-of-a-kind night filled with serenades of love and romance in the air. The rate per person is P2,200 net.

Another swoon-worthy date idea is a romantic buffet set-up at Café Eight. Crimson Hotel Filinvest City’s culinary team is ready to serve a lavish array of local and international cuisines for the couples to share. The buffet rate per person is P2,200 net inclusive of luscious pralines.

CROWNE PLAZA MANILA GALLERIA

On Valentine’s Day, the stars in the sky will witness one’s love to his better half as the hotel presents a romantic dinner under the panoramic Ortigas skyline. Taking place at the hotel’s courtyard while being serenaded by live entertainment, the four-course dinner will commence with Goat Cheese and Winter Salad.

Couples can choose between hearty Aromatic Seafood Veloute and Spiced and Roasted Butternut Squash Bisque. For the main course, one can order Surf and Turf (U.S. prime beef tenderloin and crispy braised shin with shiitake and butter-poached king prawn), Trio of Chicken, or Duo of Salmon. Make sure to save space for dessert with a shared chocolate surprise to cap off the dinner, which is priced at P3,000++ per person.

At Seven Corners, indulge in seven interactive stations that feature dishes such as U.S. Rib Eye Steak, Seafood Thermidor, leg of Lamb, Sushi Hearts, and Strawberry Chocolate Mousse Cake, among others. Feel the season of hearts with live entertainment and a welcome glass of Martini Rose or prosecco. Rate is at P3,000 nett per person.

LEMURIA

Located at Arya Plaza in Bonifacio Global City, Lemuria this Valentine’s Day introduces a classic set menu to befit the occasion.

Dinner starts with hors d’œuvre of mini gougeres stuffed with herbed cream cheese, followed by pan-seared foie gras that comes with homemade brioche toast, apricot chutney, and apples. Tomato soup with cheese croutons, fried basil, and vanilla cream will remind guests of the rich flavors that make Mediterranean cuisine exquisite.

For the main course, Lemuria unveils two. A mouthwatering 10-hour braised short ribs dish will be served with cauliflower puree, roasted mushrooms, chimichurri, and parsley oil. A soft shell crab dish with arugula, macerated cherry tomatoes, remoulade, and parmesan shards, meanwhile, will delight anyone who loves seafood.

Finally, dinner will end on a sweet note with a lemon vanilla cake with hazelnut Chantilly cream, strawberries, berry coulis, and white chocolate pistachio bark – a culmination with no regrets.

Lemuria’s special Valentine’s set menu is available until February 15 for P3,200+ per head. On February 14, Lemuria accepts dining reservations for 5:30 to 7:30 pm and 8:30 to 10:30 pm.

MARCO POLO ORTIGAS MANILA

Guests dining at any of the hotel’s restaurants or bars may choose to celebrate their evenings on a sparkling, classy note, with glasses or bottles of Moët & Chandon Rosé Imperial or Impérial Brut champagne. These premium champagne varieties are available at limited promotional prices.

Gourmands who wish to embark on a global gastronomical experience may opt to dine in Cucina on Level 24. Aside from the restaurant’s signatures like the paella mixta, its roast selection, and an indulgent selection of desserts, a special a la carte menu will be made available for dinner until February 14. At Vu’s Sky Bar and Lounge, guests can look forward to celebrating Valentine’s Day with a curated tapas buffet while enjoying the performance of Real Groove Band beginning 8 p.m. Door charge per guest is available at P3,000++, inclusive of the Sky Lounge’s Strawberry Daiquiri as a welcome drink.
