MANILA – Vickie Rushton is joining Binibining Pilipinas for the third time.

The former “Pinoy Big Brother” housemate quietly submitted her application for Bb. Pilipinas 2020 last January 29, according to the pageant website The Qrown Philippines.

On Tuesday night, Rushton took to Instagram to thank all those who have been supportive of her third shot at Bb. Pilipinas.

“Since the announcement, I have been receiving lots of words of encouragement. I’ve read your messages, comments and posts. And for that, thank you. You are the reason why I will never stop trying. I just want to thank all of you for believing in me. Yes, I have fears, it’s normal, but I know I can do this because I have you by my side,” she said.

Rushton first joined Bb. Pilipinas in 2018 and finished first runner-up to a strong batch of candidates led by Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray.

She returned to the pageant in 2019 widely tipped to take home the coveted Miss Universe Philippines crown, but ended up finishing in the Top 15 after her poor performance at the question and answer round.

With the Miss Universe Philippines crown to be handed out by a separate pageant starting this year, Rushton is said to be aiming for the Bb. Pilipinas International title.

The reigning Bb. Pilipinas International, Bea Patricia Magtanong, expressed her support for Rushton’s campaign by commenting on her Instagram post.
