MANILA – Top photographer John K. Chua passed away on Sunday, his family confirmed through a Facebook post.

Based on the update, Chua “was at peace and surrounded by the love of friends and family” during his final moments.

“Although we will miss him terribly, we are grateful that he is free from pain, and we are glad for all the happy memories we had together,” his family said.

According to his profile at the official website of Ad Photo, Chua is best known for his technical excellence and mastery of notoriously challenging photo shoots.

“With more than 40 years of experience under his belt, John has moved with ease from one genre of photography to another, earning numerous awards along the way,” Chua’s bio read.

Chua’s remains will be at Chapel 1 at the Heritage Memorial Park in Taguig from Sunday to Wednesday.
