MANILA - Senatorial hopeful Leila de Lima, one of the candidates in the Senate "Magic 12", said she is willing to reach out to the influential Iglesia ni Cristo religious sect despite failing to gain the INC's endorsement.

She said that before the elections, she talked to the religious group about the circumstances that led to the filing of an illegal detention case by expelled INC minister Isaias Samson Jr. against some INC leaders.
