MANILA - The Supreme Court (SC), during the resumption of its en banc sessions on Tuesday, affirmed the disqualification and cancellation of the certificates of candicacy (COC) of the following presidential candidates in the 2016 elections:

- G.R. No. 221650 (Buenafe A. Briggs v. Comelec En Banc and First Division, et al.);
- G.R. No. 221696 (Elly Velez Pamatong v. Comelec);
- G.R. No. 221718 (Juanita Mendoza Trocenio v. Comelec);
- G.R. No. 221769 (Rizalito Y. David v. Comelec En Banc and Second Division, et al.);
- G.R. No. 221778 (In re: Motu Proprio Petition to Declare as Nuisance Candidate, Commission on Elections, through the Law Department; Antonio Angoluan Obiña v. Comelec); and
- G.R. No. 221811 (Luisito Montalvo Falcon v. Comelec, et al.).

As to the petition of Vieva Farmers Coalition, represented by its President/Chairman Lilia M. Cruz v. Comelec, whose petition for registration as a sectoral organization under the Party-List system was denied by the Comelec, the high court gave Comelec a period of 10 days from notice to file its comment.
